Located in the heart of East Waco, we serve up more than just food—we offer warmth, hospitality, and a culinary journey through the island’s bold and soulful flavors. Our menu features beloved classics like Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, Coconut Rice & Peas, and our house-made Sorrel & Ginger drink, all crafted with authenticity and care. In December 2022, our restaurant was devastated by a fire. What followed was not just a physical rebuild, but a journey of perseverance and purpose. For over two and a half years, we kept the spirit of Tru Jamaica alive by operating as a food truck, staying connected to our community and continuing to serve the dishes our guests love. Now, as we prepare to reopen our doors, we do so with deeper gratitude and a renewed commitment to uplifting our neighborhood. At Tru Jamaica, we believe food can be a force for good.
